Prof. Hassan Radoine is an architecture curator, critic, educator, author and consultant. He is currently the Director of the School of Architecture, Urbanism and Design at University Mohammed VI Polytechnic in Morocco (UM6P) and was previously the Director of the École Nationale d’Architecture (2013-2017).
 
He also Chaired the Architectural Engineering Department at University of Sharjah, UAE (2010-2013). He received his first architect diploma from ENA. As Fulbright Scholar, he completed an M.Sc. and a Ph.D. in Architecture at the University of Pennsylvania. He also earned an M.Phil. in Architecture from the Prince of Wales Institute of Architecture and University of Wales. He has taught at the University of Pennsylvania, Dartmouth College, University of Sharjah, American University of Sharjah, Al Akhawayn University, and École nationale d’architecture. Dr. Radoine worked as an expert for UNESCO, UN-Habitat, ICCROM, MCC, and the Aga Khan Award of Architecture. In addition, he was the curator of the Exhibition on “Contemporary Architecture and Engineering in the Middle East” organized by the Center of Architecture, American Institute of Architects (AIA), New York Chapter, 2012. He has been designated in 2017 as the President of the International Jury for the design of the new building of the UN’s International Union of Telecommunications (IUT) in Geneva. His research and practice interest is sustainable, resilient and smart architecture and urbanism in the MENA region and Africa. His recent published book with Wiley International is entitled “Architecture in Context: Designing in the Middle East.”
