Ivan Valin

Architect and professor

Ivan Valin is a Professor at the Division of Landscape Architecture at the University of Hong Kong and founding partner of VALECHE Studio, a multidisciplinary design/research firm based in Hong Kong. His ongoing academic and design work is seated in a multidisciplinary background and explores strategies of urban design and landscape planning in regions undergoing rapid development, with a current focus on postmodern and contemporary practices in Myanmar and Hong Kong. Mr. Valin received a Master of Architecture and a Master of Landscape Architecture from the University of California, Berkeley, where he was also the recipient of the G. Hoshi Prize and the J.K. Branner Travelling Fellowship.
