Taufiqur Rahman Khan

Architect

Taufiqur Rahman Khan completed his B.Arch degree in 1999 from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology. After graduation, he joined URBANA and  worked under architect Kashef Mahbub Chowdhury and architect Marina Tabassum as the project architect of the Museum of Independence and the Master Plan of Historic Suhrawardy Udyan [from March 1999 till July 2000].

Currently he is working as the Principal architect of METROPOLIS Architects and also working as the Coordinator of Ecole de Design [school of Design], Alliance Française de Dhaka. Khan takes keen interest in history and philosophy and currently working  as an independent researcher to study the impact of Partition of South Asia, 1947 on various forms of art in Bangladesh and also in other parts of South Asia. He is also serving the 23rd  Executive Committee of Institute of Architects Bangladesh, IAB as the Secretary, Seminar & Convention.
