Kevin Low is an architect based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Living and working in the monsoon tropics and raised in Southeast Asia, he spent nine years in the United States before returning to Malaysia with graduate and postgraduate degrees in Architecture and a minor in Art History. He has spent ten years in a local mid-sized architectural firms working for Kamil Merican at GDP Architects, before reclaiming old dreams of solo practice in 2002. Unregistered as an architect, he works alone on projects both large and small, the space in between, and teaching and writing when time permits. He is well known for his environmentally responsive housing designs in his practice. He has since lectured internationally and has conducted critiques and workshops at universities in Asia and Oceania. His work and articles have been published in architectural journals regionally as well as in the United States, Japan and Europe.
