SPACE MAKING: IDEAS TO INSTALLATION | A Spatial Exploration With The Eminent Bangladeshi Artist and Art Educator Dhali Al Mamoon and Eminent Architect and Critic Kazi Khaleed Ashraf
This two-week-long workshop explores what space is, how it shapes our everyday lives, and the impact of its various forms, while also examining the possibilities of creating new spaces towards new experiences. Through observation, imagination, and interaction with a site, participants will investigate the relationship between space, people, and the city. In the making or creation of space, there will be opportunities to engage the senses, emotions, memories, and interactions rather than relying solely on physical form and visual perception. The workshop will culminate in an actual installation in a public park in Dhaka, bringing ideas of space-making and fabrication into the everyday landscape of the city.
