In the ongoing series “Exploring Muzharul Islam,” Nurur Rahman Khan speaks On Muzharul Islam and Architecture as a Political Standpoint. Architect Nurur Rahman Khan is the Partner/Architect of Tania Karim N.R. Khan and Associates. Recipient of the Habibur Rahman Awards and the Ahsanur Rahman Gold Medal from the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology. His thesis was titled “Architecture Politics: Politics Architecture.” He was a close associate of Muzharul Islam, helping him conserve his drawings and photographs of his significant works. He was instrumental in establishing the Muzharul Islam Archive. In this event, his lecture will explore how Muzharul Islam’s architectural works embody political and social ideologies.
