Sthapatyachaya Muzharul Islam’s Birth Centenary

A special program was organized to celebrate the Centenary of Architect Muzharul Islam on 25th December, 2023.

December 25, 2023, is the 100th birth anniversary of Bangladesh’s master architect Sthapatyacharya Muzharul Islam. His works and ideas established the norms of a new architecture and influenced generations of architects that followed him. For over five decades since the 1950s, working with architecture and involved beyond architecture, Muzharul Islam was also deeply committed to the social and cultural progress of the country.

The Architect Muzharul Islam Trust, in association with the Bengal Institute for Architecture, Landscapes and Settlements and Bengal Foundation, has organized a special program to celebrate the Centenary.
