The revitalization of the existing lake of the park with a loop of walkway surrounded by it, allow people to have a peaceful walk while experiencing various functions like enjoying an exhibition or visiting the aquarium, arboretum.

The floating garden, rooftop vegetation, the lines of various trees along with the water act as an ecological core of the area.

The Padma Tower connecting T-Badh with the central park, becomes the flow to connect Rajshahi city with Padma.

Open field, children playground, picnic venue, shops, ghat allow people to experience activities while breathing the fresh air coming from Padma.

From the top of the Tower, one can enjoy the view of T-badh at the bank of Padma.

Central Park in Rajshahi

Bengal Institute/BAU Design Ltd developed a concept plan for an existing 33 acres public park situated at the heart of Rajshahi city by the bank of the Padma

Shaheed A.H.M Qamaruzzaman Central Park is an existing 33 acres public park situated at the heart of Rajshahi city by the bank of the Padma. Bengal Institute/BAU Design Ltd was invited by the Honorable Mayor of Rajshahi to develop a concept plan for the park by reimagining it as the urban and ecological hub for the citizens of Rajshahi city, and integrating new prospects of an aquarium, indoor botanical garden, and tower. The key idea in the concept plan was an integrated public space with diverse programs that serve the recreational needs of the city, and also connect with the Padma riverbank. The proposed Padma tower near the T-Badh may serve as an iconic symbol for Rajshahi allowing visitors to experience the panorama view of Padma.
