A multi-activity workshop focusing on crafts and making and involving master craftsmen and designers. Considering that crafting is the foundation of making, designers, builders and artisans from various fields will come together for two weeks to conduct a hands-on workshop on the beauty and nature of making and fabrication.

Goals and Objectives
This Studio, Building is Crafting, intends to understand the basis of design and what inherent qualities an object must filter through to be labeled as a designed object. Through this workshop, participants will explore the phenomenological position of human minds, their ability, their duties and most importantly, their relationships between collective minds through making objects.
The workshop will focus on various crafting techniques including:
The art of weaving
Woodworks
Metalwork
Leather binding
Clay molding
Activities will include lectures, hands-on workshops with the faculties, working with invited craftsmen, and site visits. Final products will be exhibited later.
Important Information
1. Date: November 24 – December 8, 2024
Workshop days: Sunday to Thursday each week
Workshop hours: 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM each day
Off days: Fridays and Saturdays
2. Venue: Atelier Robin Architects’ studio, Hazaribagh, Dhaka
3. Workshop Fee:
Regular participants: 8,000 BDT
Students: 4,000 BDT (A valid student ID is required)

5. Application Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree holders from any discipline, or,
Final-year undergraduate students
