Art Talk on "Our Modernism and its Context"

In celebration of the exhibition of the works of three prominent artists of Bangladesh — Rasheed Choudhury, Murtaja Baseer and Debdas Chakraborty — Bengal Foundation organized an Art Talk on “Our Modernism and its Context” on May 14 at Chayyanaut. The speakers were: Manosh Choudhury (Professor, Dept. of Anthropology, Jahangirnagar University), Sajjad Sharif (Managing Editor, Prothom Alo), Nisar Hossain( Professor and Dean, Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Dhaka), Kazi Khaleed Ashraf (Director General, Bengal Institute), and Dhali Al Mamoon (artist and educator). The exhibition “Forerunners: Rasheed Choudhury, Murtaja Baseer and Debdas Chakraborty” was curated by Dhali Al Mamoon.
