Redefining the Public Realm: Kazi Khaleed Ashraf, Konrad Ng and Marina Tabassum

A compilation of excerpts from talks by Kazi Khaleed Ashraf, Konrad Ng and Marina Tabassum on the broad theme of redefining the public realm, for Bengal Institute's special course on 'Learning from the Aga Khan Award for Architecture'.

The Seminar “Learning from the Aga Khan Award for Architecture” is part of an academic program conducted by the Bengal Institute for Architecture, Landscapes and Settlements. The month-long program consists of four thematics, one for each week. The thematics for this year are: The Validation of Architecture, Redefining the Public Realm, Reviewing the City, and Building Community.

To speak on the theme on edefining the Public Realm, Bengal Institute invited three speakers: architect, urbanist and Director-General of Bengal Institute, Kazi Khaleed Ashraf; executive director of the Shangri-La in Hawaii, Konrad Ng and 2016 Aga Khan Award for Architecture winner Marina Tabassum.
