The Seminar “Learning from the Aga Khan Award for Architecture” is part of an academic program conducted by the Bengal Institute for Architecture, Landscapes and Settlements. The month-long program consists of four thematics, one for each week. The thematics for this year are: The Validation of Architecture, Redefining the Public Realm, Reviewing the City, and Building Community.
To speak on the theme on The Validation of Architecture, Bengal Institute invited three speakers: former Secretary-General of the Aga Khan Award for Architecture, Suha Ozkan, art historian and professor Perween Hasan, and associate head of School of Architecture and Built Environment at University of Adelaide, Katharine Bartsch.
